What's going on?

A week ago it was 85 outside. Last week I was sitting with a bunch of girls on a blanket on the lawn in front of our dorm trying to get a little tan.

Today it's snowing! Snowing! I don't understand.

What's going on?

Weekend Stuff

I had a pretty good weekend. This was my last weekend to work until I go back home so that's nice. I'll have a few weeks off.

I watched the movie Spanglish with one of my friends. Let's just say that it's odd.

We had a leadership meeting for Chi Alpha today because the boy and I will do leading of some sort next fall. Talk about exciting! I think I'm ready to be a leader. I feel like I've grown a lot this year. It all depends on what God has in store for me.

I've decided tonight that I'm way to addicted to sunflower seeds. Generally, I just eat them at softball games but I bought a bag a few weeks ago and I eat them when I'm watching a movie, typing on the computer, or going for walk. Sad, isn't it?

I love tennis

Even though it was really cold and windy today we decided to play tennis.

Yesterday, was the perfect tennis playing day. It was warm, sunny, and only a little windy.

Anyways, yeah, I love tennis. It's my favorite sport to play, besides football.

What am I getting myself into?

4 Months!

In less than 4 months I will be a married woman. Scary, isn’t it? Time seems to be going by so fast.

School will be over in less than 4 weeks (thank God).

On to better things, it’s Caribou Thursday today! Yeah!

So, yeah that’s it. I just wanted to blog something.

Cap of Needle

Today I had to give an injection. I had to stick a needle in a fake leg. For some reason I had a problem with this.

I think the problem started two weeks ago. I was sitting in class and we had just had a discussion on how to take the cap off the needle. I thought, “Oh, this looks easy.” I was so wrong! I couldn’t get the cap off for anything. The girl in front of me pricked herself. I started laughing because I thought it was funny. Than I thought there was a possibility that I might stick myself too. And I did. About two seconds later. It wasn’t as funny anymore.

It didn’t really hurt that bad but it was annoying because my finger wouldn’t stop bleeding.

Last night I was practicing taking off my needle cap because I was so paranoid that in my test-out today that I would stick myself and the teacher would get angry and I would have to start the test all over again. So, I practiced and practiced. The boy got a little annoyed because we were supposed to watch Attack of the Clones but couldn’t because it got too late after I started messing with the needle. I was so scared to take the cap off the needle because I thought I would stick myself. Finally, he just took the needle and yanked the cap off. I thought for sure he was going to stick himself. But he didn’t.

When it was my turn for the test out today I did everything perfect. I found out at the beginning of class that we could use a needle that we had practiced with. So I took out a new needle, took off the cap about twenty times, and used it for my test-out.

Sometimes, I think that I just get worked up over nothing.

Crap Fest

The boy and I were in St. Cloud with my family all weekend because he entered his movie into the regional film fest.

The film fest started out pretty bad because we had to wait for people from Carleton to show up, which they never did.

Than we had to wait at least 10 minutes after every movie so the judges could review each one.

We spent three hours there. I think we could have been out of there in an hour and a half.

The people that put on the film fest really need to get their act together.

Every year we go there and we're disappointed because the film fest is so poorly put together.

We might not even go next year because it seems pointless. If the boy wins they can send him his check.

I'm going to start calling St. Cloud St. Suck.

2nd post of the day

I just had to write about this quick cause it was funny. My friend, Amber, was cleaning her fish tank and I was messing around on her computer. Well, I changed her homepage from her email to this.

She didn't realize at all that it was her homepage. She just thought that it was some stupid pop-up.

It took me a few times to pull it up until she realized I changed her homepage.

Than she started laughing. :)

It's all in a days work.

Caribou Thursday

You know you have a sad life when you look forward to going to Caribou all week to get a coffee.

I allow myself to go there once a week because at the beginning of this semester when I was first introduced to Caribou I was so addicted I think I was going there every other day.

It's not good when you're craving Caribou Coffee.

I'm so happy that it's Thursday because in about two hours I get to go to Caribou! Yeah!

Girl's Night Out

Last night we had a girl's only party out at Phil and Michelle's.

In Phil and Michelle's garage they have what we call a prayer room. The prayer room is so beautiful because they made the border out of wood. And they took a real tree and put the branches around the window. We had put Christmas lights around the branches. Oh, it's beautiful!

Jayme and I got there a litte late. All the other girls were in the prayer room already.

As we walking into the prayer room we hear,"Surprise!" The girls had planned a surprise bridal shower for us. It was so sweet! :) I was so surprised! I know Jayme was too.

We both just looked at each other and had those questioning looks on our face. We didn't even say anything and the girls were like,"Well"?

We just started laughing. I mean what do you do?

So we played a few games (like toilet papering the brides) and ate ice cream and apple pie.

Than we watch Ms. Congeniality and I don't think anyone made it through the movie.

We got up at 6:30 this morning to come back to town because we had a ton of homework to do.

And that was my first bridal shower. :)

Me and the boy in our "fun pic".

Fun Pic

This picture that I am about to post is odd.

I'm not one for kissing in public but Jayme insisted that I kiss Aaron on the cheek. Let me say that I refused but Jayme is a stubborn girl.

She stood in front of me with her arms crossed and said,"I am not moving until you kiss Aaron."

The picture really isn't that bad. It's kinda funny... like the movie Fever Pitch that I saw tonight.

Someone else must have thought the picture was funny, or they wanted to make fun of us because when we got back from the movie theater someone had printed the pic of us and taped it above Aaron's door. funny people...

I can be weird

I walked into the bathroom tonight on my floor. The doors to the bathroom are open-wide and you can usually hear girls come in and out.

Well, I heard someone walk in right before me. I went into one of the stalls and sat down. I thought,” I wonder who came in before me?” So, after I had sat down on the toilet seat I bent down and looked under the stall to see if I could tell who it was by her shoes.

Instead of seeing a pair of shoes, I saw a pair of eyes. The other girl decided at the same time to look to see if she knew who had come in after her.

It took me about ten seconds to realize who it was. It was Brittney, one of my girlfriends. She started laughing. I started laughing. We were both laughing so hard that a few of the girls on our floor came in and wondered what was going on.

Usually, I don’t peek under the stall if I know another girl is in the bathroom. But for some reason tonight I couldn’t help myself. Brittney told me she never peeks either.

What a great moment. I still chuckle to myself when I think about it.

Girls are so weird.

We got a little too excited about smores last night.

Summer

I finished reading the Bible today. It was supposed to take a year to read the whole thing but I finished a month early. Tomorrow, I will start reading it again with Aaron. It will be fun to see what God does with us.

I decided not to be so lazy today. So, I went for a walk. It was so warm outside! I love it! As I was walking I saw three little boys and their mom playing in their back yard. It was so sweet to watch them. The youngest boy was playing in his sandbox. He was cute to watch because he was in his own little world playing with his trucks and cars. The other two were playing catch with their mom. All I could think was: Isn't this what summer is all about?

It's so nice when summer comes because you can be outside. You can go swimming at the beach and than get ice cream (one of my favorite memories). You can play baseball, softball, tennis, or basketball. You can go for a walk or run. Like some of the people have been doing on campus, you can fly kites (haha).

I like summer best because you don't have to go to school (well, actually I have two online classes) and you can spend time with family.

Feeling Stupid

Yesterday morning Aaron and I decided to drive to Hibbing (which is 2 hours from Bemidji) to go to church and surprise his family and our friends. When we got about half way to Hibbing I looked at my cell phone to see what time it was. It said 9:46. My car clock said 8:46. I changed my cell phone clock to 8:46 about 3 times but it just kept changing back to 9:46.

I was like what the heck?

Finally, it dawned on me that I had forgot to change my clock the night before and now we were going to be an hour late for church.

I was not a happy person at that point. I felt so stupid. Usually every year my mom will call me the night before and say, “Jill, don’t forget to turn your clock ahead.” Either she forgot to call me or she decided that since I’m going to get married I should know these things.

We ended getting to church right around 10:30. So we weren’t that late. Half the time people walk into church at whatever time they want so it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Did anyone else forget to turn their clocks ahead?

Awesomeness

I wanted to say how awesome I think blogging is. Or the fact that there are so many people I know that blog. From family to friends, to pastors, to classmates. I love it!

So, if you're not blogging, BLOG!

"Let everything that has breath praise the the Lord." Psalm 150:6

Maybe it's not the actual blogging I like but the way I can keep in touch with everyone.
