Do you really want to get well?

Everybody has wants but if we want something bad enough we'll do whatever it takes to get it. Instead of saying, "It's too hard," we need to say,"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." (Phillipians 4:13)

Jesus asked this man in John Chapter 5,"Do you really want to get well?" We need to ask ourselves this. Sometimes when we're struggling it's because God has already told us the things we need to do to get our life in order and to receive radical blessings. He wants to manifest in our lives. The problem is we may not have done what he told us we need to do. If we have rebellion in our soul, we're going to have to go through some hard times to get rid of it.

If we deny our flesh long enough, eventually it will begin to wither and die so that it has no strength and power over us.

Amen - totally true. It's so common to hear a Christian complain about the situations they are in, their weaknesses, their lack of progress, their lack of getting desires fulfilled. But Paul said we are more than conquerors through Christ! Jesus said his yoke is easy and his burden light!

Jesus asking the question "Do you really want to get well?" is so appropriate! Some people prefer misery or are too lazy to make any change realized, when God has given us everything we need for complete fullness of life. It's all in the Book.
