Do you really want to get well?

Everybody has wants but if we want something bad enough we'll do whatever it takes to get it. Instead of saying, "It's too hard," we need to say,"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me." (Phillipians 4:13)

Jesus asked this man in John Chapter 5,"Do you really want to get well?" We need to ask ourselves this. Sometimes when we're struggling it's because God has already told us the things we need to do to get our life in order and to receive radical blessings. He wants to manifest in our lives. The problem is we may not have done what he told us we need to do. If we have rebellion in our soul, we're going to have to go through some hard times to get rid of it.

If we deny our flesh long enough, eventually it will begin to wither and die so that it has no strength and power over us.

Possessing the Land

I read this book from Joyce Meyer called 8 Ways to Keep the Devil Under Your Feet. Here's a few things that I've learned.

"For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit are opposed to the flesh; for these are antagonistic to each other, so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do." Galatians 5:17

This scripture describes how the spirit wars against the flesh and the flesh wars against the spirit, how they coninually antagonize each other. We must learn to deal with our flesh and not let it rule over us.

The flesh must continually be put to death. Not a physical death but a spiritual one. Spiritual death requires being empty of the world and all it's ways, selfishness, self-will, and all the works of the flesh.

When the apostle Paul said, I die daily, (1 Cor. 15-31), he meant that every day he had to say no to wrong things that would hinder him from walking in the good plan God wants to release in His children's lives.

Woow, what a lot to take. I really enjoyed the book though. I will probably put a few things from it in here from time to time. If you get a chance, read it.

Happenin' Things

Aaron and I spent all day in Bemidji yesterday trying to find an apartment. I think we saw about 10 different places and we only really liked three. We decided on an apartment with two bedrooms, a garage, and all that good stuff. It's kind of weird though because most apartment complexes have a name like: Park Place, Ridge View, or something like that. This one doesn't though. No name at all! Very odd.
Than on the way back we stopped at JCPenney's to get wedding bands. We already knew what we wanted so we figured it would be easy. We got to the store and the lady helping us told us to wait until Friday because my ring would be on sale. How nice is that?
Last week Aaron booked the place that we're staying for our honeymoon. Things really seem to be moving along. Only 39 more days until the wedding!

Bang Over (Yeah!)

I finally have a moment to post. Fireworks are finally over. It really wasn't that bad. But than again, I wasn't there 24/7.
Tomorrow I leave for the cities. My cousin got married about a month ago and our Aunts are having a bridal shower for us. Having most of our family together should be pretty interesting.
On Monday, Aaron and I will be going to Bemidji for the day to look for an apartment. I'm hoping we find something so we can start moving stuff in.
I really don't have anything good to say. But does anybody?
