Impatient Generation

Josh Amiot spoke at Chi Alpha tonight. He's a missionary from Mexico City. He talked about how God has a plan for each and every one of us and also a plan for us as a group. He really was encouraging.

He said this one thing that I had to sit and think about: I will need to know what I need to know when I need to know it. Did you get that? People my age want to know everything now. We're so impatient. At least I know I am. The truth is we couldn't handle knowing everything God has for us. That's why God gives us a little bit at a time.

"Every man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken." Micah 4:4

Fear is a thing of the past.

You're right -- I know I couldn't handle knowing it all at once, though sometimes my mind thinks it wants to know it all now.

Nope, we've gotta wait. Patience and trust, patience and trust...
